Tapestry will never share your name, email address, or other personal information with any third parties without your consent. If we wish to publish anything you’ve told us, we will obtain your documented approval before doing so.

In certain cases, we’ll share aggregate demographic data with partners. That data does not include any details on specific individuals.

If you interact with Tapestry on a third-party platform, such as Facebook, please note that we do not have control over how they use your data, even as we continue to adhere to our standards. We encourage everyone to think critically about what kind of information they share online.

Diversity, equity and inclusion

Tapestry seeks to recognize and elevate the value of older adults in our society. We recognize that while each of our unique contributions preserves our individuality, they also make the whole better.

In everything we do, we advocate for older adults to be part of diverse populations, treated equitably in a way that respects their unique needs and contributions, and included by actively valuing them as members of a group.

In the same spirit, we strive to include individuals from diverse backgrounds within our organization, encompassing differences in race, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, and socioeconomic status.

Use of AI

While AI holds great potential for society and the lives of older adults, we recognize that it has its appropriate place and time, and that Tapestry is about the connections among humans.

In general, we will not use AI-generated art or content, nor do we use it to respond to any of our members. When someone from Tapestry writes to you, it’s a person.

We use AI assistance in idea generation, providing recommendations to our staff, proofreading, and performing basic research that we independently verify. In these cases, there is always a person between the AI output and you.

Some third-party platforms, such as our Facebook group, will use AI to analyze your interactions and provide recommendations. We have no control over these platforms and encourage everyone to consider the information they share on social media sites.
